Creating and managing retrospectives

Creating a new retrospective

  • On the left-side bar, select Boards>Retrospectives.

  • On the Retrospectives dashboard, Click on New retrospective.

 

  • In the New retrospective screen, fill in the Name, Facilitator, Participants and the retrospective format.

  • Click on New retrospective to complete the operation.

  • There are a few retrospectives formats available out of the box:

  • Alternatively, you can create a custom retrospective. Choose “Custom Format“ from the dropdown and then fill in the column’s names (up to 5 columns):

  • You can also enable the “Team mood” step to survey the participants about their mood in the current sprint/iteration. By default a set of question is available, but you can customize to meet your needs:

 

  • After completing the creation of a new retrospective, it lands on the first step of the retrospective (Think) where any participant can add ideas.

 

  • If you get back to the dashboard, the just created retrospective is displayed in the list.

  • Any user at any time can click on the retrospective and join the session.

Creating custom templates

 

  • Click on the cog icon next to the search box in the right-hand size of the screen

 

  • Click on Add Template. Fill in the template name and type the columns names and then click Save.

 

  • When creating a new retrospective you can choose a template from the Custom Templates section.
